What is the duration of the programme?
CADES is a 12 months programme: the academic year starts in the end of September. However, it is possible to graduate in June.
 
Are only the applicants holding an MA degree eligible for the programme?
CADES is a post-initial master’s programme, which implies that applicants should have an MA degree in order to be eligible. However, in exceptional cases, applicants holding a four year bachelor’s degree can be admitted to the programme. The latter cases are considered on a case-by-case basis.
 
Is it possible to follow the programme on a part-time basis?
Yes, it is possible, but ideally the programme should be completed in one year.
 
Is there a possibility to receive a scholarship or a reduce tuition fee?
CADES itself does not offer scholarships. Please, address the International Office of the K.U.Leuven (http://www.kuleuven.be/english/about/oiss.htm) for scholarship possibilities. More information can be found on the “Application” page of the CADES website.
Regarding the reduced tuition fee, for students from developing countries it amounts to €523.70.

When is the application deadline?
For citizens of countries outside the EU: March 1, 2008.
For EU citizens: June 1, 2008.
For Belgian citizens: recommended deadline September 1, 2008, final deadline September 15, 2008.
